Red Raider Orientation

Josh and I spent three days in Lubbock for Red Raider Orientation. Weather-wise I was tortured by the heat. Mom/Son-wise it was delightful!

We walked around the campus one evening before Josh had another orientation event.

Josh has his "Guns Up" in this photos. He's got school spirit!

Here he is by the dairy barn in the middle of campus.
Students used to bring their cows and chickens to the campus and pay for their tuition with milk and eggs. So cool!

Part of the dairy barn. Maybe a grain holder? Don't really know.

There is some talk about Texas Tech converting the barn to a restaurant.

A cool fountain with a sculpture of hands holding books.

Here is Josh in front of the administration building. I guess a long time ago the president of the university would park under that arch.

Josh is pointing to the Newton sign above an arch. Fitting for a science-y, math-y kind of student don't you think?

Standing in front of the war memortial on campus. Nice that veterans are remembered on the campus.

All in all it was a great trip with my youngest. Josh will be moving to Lubbock in six short weeks. I will miss his sweet face.
