Day Two Christmas 2012.

Okay, so after and exhausting night at the Deadwood Saloon we spent some time at the Natural Bridge Caverns.

At least Meredith, Justine, Joshua, Alexandra and I did.

I took about a million photos.

Really. I did. Just ask the kids.

We came across a tiny bat in the cave that I don't think anyone else noticed.

Of course I took a picture of the little guy. So ugly he 's cute.

Here's a close-up of the little face only a mother could love.

The kids got silly while I took photos.

This is Josh's Zoolander pose.

Good for a laugh every time!

My sweet Meredith.

Can you see me behind the stalagmite?

Silly cousins!

Of course we needed a photo next to the very realistic dinosaur at the caverns.

Then I went home and did some of this. Snuggling with Ezra.

My  very favorite activity.

Little E's Auntie

Alexandra got to spend some quality time with "Little E' as she calls him.

There really isn't anything greater than making a little baby smile.

Or holding a beautiful baby while he sleeps.

Sweet little Ezra.

Murder at the Deadwood Saloon

Christmas was held in San Antonio this year. Nancy was a wonderful hostess.

We all arrived on the 22nd and stuffed gifts under Nancy's pretty tree. Notice "bad Santa" standing in the corner.

Then we prepared for the murder mystery- "Murder at the Deadwood Saloon".

The kids came up with saloon doors to add to the decor.

Check out the saloon table setting. So authentic.

Then the actors showed up.

Meredith played  salon girl Miss Sally Starr and Justine was debutante Miss Minnie Money.

A little buck-a-roo named Ezra had a visit with Miss Sally Starr before the festivities began.

Nancy's friends Deborah and Joe played the parts of a gambler and the Marshal of Deadwood.

Nancy and I got into character as two old gamblers. Aren't we ridiculous? Notice Nancy has a hair dryer for her gun?

Unfortunately Josh was the murder victim.

He played the part of Mitch Maverick a conman. Is that one word?

All in all it was a fun night. Lots of laughs and silliness.

Christmas 2012

Wow! Hard to believe it's been so long since I posted anything here. Christmas will do that. You get so busy trying to do everything before the blessed day.

I will need to do several posts on all our Christmas activities since we did so much!

It was fast and furious. And fun!

Little Man Tate

Josh came home from Lubbock sporting a beard.

And of course his sweet smile.

I marvel at how grown up he is.

A man, not a boy anymore.

But always my sweet Josh.

New Chunky Rug with Fringe

I got a new rug for the living room yesterday.

So much texture. It's a bit small for this room.

I should have gotten the 9 by 12. I'll have to buy that size the next time Rugs USA has a 75% off sale!

Jack decided to photo bomb again.

Silly Jack.

Here's a close up of the fringe.

Jack gave the rug a good sniff before he decided it was an acceptable addition to our home.

Of course I run all my decorating ideas past the dog first.

Oh Joy!

Been decorating my mantle over the last few evenings.

Wanted to go with something simple so I kept with a white and green theme.

But then I wanted to put out some of my Santas.

There goes the simple theme.

Maybe next year.

Not sure I'm loving this.
