Painted Faces and Football.

I found this photo of Joshua with his friends at a Central High School football game.

That's Josh and Tyler and Valton. The three amigos.

This picture speaks volumes.

After all, how much more fun can you possibly have with your friends in high school than cheering on the home team with your face painted in team colors?

I love this photo.

Every time I see it I smile because my son is having such a great time.

Making wonderful memories with his friends.

Mimi's Little Guy.

When you become a grandma for the first time your grandchild is your main focus.

At least that's so for this here grandma.

Or Mimi as I refer to myself.

I take about a million photos of little Ezra and post about that many on my blog.

Isn't he handsome?

Speaking of interesting grandma names, I've heard some unusual ones.

My friend, Teri, is affectionately called "Ninny" by her grandson.

Julie is called "Mucky" by her many grandchildren.

And my mother has the unique title of "GMa" thanks to Alexandra.

Here's to all the grandmas out there who can't get enough of their grandchildren.

Whether you're a newbie like me or have been in the role for a while - isn't being a grandma great?

Moose with Socks. And Drool.

Alexandra bought Ezra a stuffed toy last year - also known as "Moose with Socks".

Here is Ezra with his pal.

Just hanging out on the floor.

Together.

Ezra and "Moose with Socks".

Oh, and a little bit of drool too.

Bibs are a must these days.

Happy Birthday Joshua!

Today is Joshua's birthday.  Born nineteen years ago on a Sunday afternoon.

We celebrated with white cake and chocolate frosting - Josh's favorite.

Making a wish.

Doesn't seem possible that the tiny, curly -haired baby I gave birth to is already nineteen.

Where did the time go?

Dear Josh,

Happy birthday my dear, sweet child. I love you with all my heart.

You are a loving, compassionate young man. My heart swells with pride because you are my son.

Hope what you wished for comes true.

Love,

Mom

Sweet Joshua.

Tomorrow Josh will be 19. My baby is all grown up.

I found this photo of Josh and mom last night.

There's no date on the back of the photo, but Josh must be about 8 years old. What a sweet little guy he was hugging his Gma!

Not much has changed as far as his sweetness goes. He's a lot taller, but just as kind and loving.
